Elizabeth Walker-Weakley

Dr. Elizabeth Walker is a best-selling author, a life long learner, and passionate about creating breakthrough solutions for non-profit and healthcare organizations. As a former clinician, Elizabeth translated her people-centric approach to the corporate arena and achieved success as a global leader in professional education and arket development with expertise in women’s leadership. Elizabeth’s leadership experience spans non-profits, Fortune 100 MedTech companies, and start-ups in the healthcare field. She led the medical education team at Medtronic Spine & Biologics, the largest medical device company in the world, where she reinvented the medical education organization and won best-in-industry awards with the development of the CATALYSTTM Physician Education Platform. From there, Elizabeth transitioned to AO North America, a leading global non-profit professional society, where she led the spine and craniomaxillofacial surgeon governance Boards and Committees. Her work at AO prioritized advancing surgeon professional education, supporting clinical care guidelines, and expanding networking opportunities for surgeons in training. During her tenure in these organizations, Elizabeth became increasingly aware of common problems impacting teams: underdeveloped leadership competencies, a lack of problem solving skills, and difficulty uncovering customer’s needs. As a result, she went back to school to equip herself with the necessary knowledge, skills, and resources to help others with these problems. Earning her Doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership in 2022 from the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California, her research focuses on women’s leadership and advancement in the profession of spine surgery. Elizabeth founded MindShift Consulting in 2024 and remains focused on helping individuals, teams, and organizations achieve breakthrough results by integrating her work experience with evidence-based approaches, creating more reliable and impactful organizational solutions.
