Welcome to Pensacola Women’s Alliance. We are so happy that you have joined our group of ladies. I joined Pensacola Women’s Alliance back in 1997 when I first moved to Pensacola to meet professional women. With a background in human resources, I have experience in mentoring and empowering others so I found the mission of PWA really matched my “heart”. I really enjoy seeing other women succeed and am happy to be able to play a small part in that. I think I have been able to do that in the over 20 years that I have been a member. You will be able to connect with many women like me for a wealth of knowledge and networking.
Her Story
Mrs. Miller has over 40 years of Banking and Human Resources experience with several Fortune 500 companies. She attended University of Miami and Northwestern University. She received her SPHR certificate in 1991 and was President of Atlanta SHRM (4th largest chapter in the US with over 2,000 members) Served on the Georgia Governor’s Blue Ribbon Committee for Ethics in State Government.
She has served on several local board: WSRE-TV Foundation Board & Chair, Sacred Heart Women’s & Children’s Hospital, West Florida Hospital, Take Stock in Children(Mentored a Child), Saenger Redevelopment Committee, Covenant Hospice Foundation, Pensacola State College Foundation, Pensacola Opera Board & Chair, Board Emeritus, Pensacola Women’s Alliance Board & President, Named Philanthropist of the Year-2018 by NFP. Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce HR Roundtable, Received the “Sandra Robinson Service Award”, The Rotary Club of Pensacola in recognition for Countless Acts of Service Above Self, June, 2021, 2022 Woman in Philanthropy by the Junior League of Pensacola at the Women’s Empowerment Luncheon.
Jan and her husband, Ron have one married son, three grandsons and two great granddaughters.
